...have been laid up for three weeks but are now playing again though the latter is still lame. Woodruff, contrary to all expectations, has resumed his old place as right guard. The other guard is Heffelfinger, a powerful freshman. Carbin at center completes the rush line. Wurtemburg, as quarter-back is playing almost as well as the famous Beecher. The half-backs will be Graves and McClung, both are playing remarkably well. Bull still fills his old place of full-back and will doubtless take all chances to kick goals from the field. ...there was no break and the hounds were not required to keep together. The hares, Gorham, '90 and Downs, '90 started from Matthews at 3.21 and left a very good trail through Cambridge to Fresh Pond, thence through Watertown, the Newtons, Brighton and Barry's Corners, leaving the back at the last named place. They arrived at the gymnasium at 4.55, after a hard run of twelve miles. Twelve hounds started, but several dropped out at Fresh Pond as the pace was very fast.
