Tuesday a change was made in the boat. Newhall was moved to 7 from 2, and Fish, who rowed 7 last year in the Freshman crew, was tried at 2. Yesterday the men were given a short, brisk row to the Stillman Infirmary and back. It was extremely cold and a raw wind was blowing, but the work as a whole was satisfactory. ...crews have been on the river two weeks and a half, and are showing fair improvement. The two Senior crews did not go out yesterday, but the first Junior crew rowed from the Newell boat-house. Simmons, who was rowing bow on the University four-oar last week, was back at 7 in the Junior boat, and Forte, who did not row last week, was in at 2.
