Hurley, Foster, Parker, Brill and Leary did not take part in the scrimmage, but ran through signals. Carr was in the scrimmage and played his usual strong defensive game, besides showing great improvement on the offense. Montgomery was back at tackle and played an aggressive game. Carr, Nesmith and Montgomery, who have been out of the game for some time on account of injuries, were back in the line-up. Carr also started with the ball in the punting practice, and Nesmith in the kickoff work showed good speed. Hall played at quarterback, alternating with Newhall on the first eleven and in the line-up of the substitutes. They both got the plays off fast and the signal drill was very snappy...
