Evgraf, Pasha, Komarovsky (the old lecher), and Tonia (Zhivago's first wife) rush onto the stage, whisper or shout their say, commit their little deeds and consider their situations, and the clamber back into the wings. Some, like Zhivago, are tangled in the threads of introspection; others don't appear to think at all. Does Komarsky help Lara out of a sense of guilt for having violated her, out of a real love, or what: What sort of person is Tonia? Why did Pasha really leave home? Unfortunately, we can't tune in tomorrow...

The year was a good one for Pasternak, Castro, and Charles de Gaulle, who became immortalized by being named Time's Man of the Year, barely edging out Al Vellucci for the honor. But, with few exceptions, the plot was pretty dull, and most people sat back and waited for the short subjects. They came, in the form of hula hoops, mixed-mortality TV westerns, a talking satellite, and higher prices for vicuna coats...

With Hunter's win in the 100-yard sprint and mueray's triumph in the 200-yard baokstroke the varsity pulled away from the visitors. But the Middies rallied back with a first and a second in the 440-yard freestyle and an Academy record-breaking performance in the 200-yard breastroke by Diek Taft. However, victory in the freestyle relay clinched the meet for the Crimson, their third straight win of the season...
