...prospect of a pleasant afternoon brought out an assembly of over 2,000 spectators, of whom fully 1,500 were within the grounds, to witness the final Princeton-Harvard championship game. The turf on the diamond is very firm and even, and the grass on the out-field is growing well, although there is plenty of room for a second sowing next fall to make it as close as it should be. A new backstop had been built during the day. It is of the most approved pattern, slightly curved and made of matched boards.
