For Harvard Dean made a two bagger and was caught trying to come home on a passed ball. Mason went out on a hit to infield. Trafford and Hovey made hits, but Alward's slow grounder...
...Trafford flied out. Frothingham hit safely but was caught trying to steal second. in the seventh neither nine scored. In the eighth Boston made two runs on two bases on balls, an error by Upton, and a sacrifice by Ganzel. Harvard also scored two. Dean made a fine two bagger which seemed to rattle the professionals, for they made three or four errors in soccession, including two by Quinn. These let in Dean and Hallowell, the latter having reached first on a grounder which Quinn fumbled badly. In the ninth again neither side scored...
Boston did not score in the second, but Harvard made two runs on Long's fumble of Cook's grounder, hits by Dean and Hallowell, Dean's out at the plate and Hovey's two bagger...

Brodie made a hit close by third and Stovey followed with one over second, which Hallowell allowed to go through his legs, giving each of the runners another base. Sullivan sent both men in by a two bagger, and came home himself on Quinn's single. Ganzell struck out and Lowe knocked a high fly for Dean. Lake got a base on balls, and then Clarkson cleared the bases by a long home run hit over the right field fence. Long got his base on balls, but Brodie ended the agony...
...Hubbard, third on Upton's error, and home on Bates' wild pitch. Hubbard got his base on Upton's bad throw to Trafford, stole second and came in on the wild pitch. Weeks got his base on balls, was forced to second, and came in on Dowds three-bagger. Magill was hit by a pitched ball and came in on the three-base hit. Dowd hit to right centre for three bases and came in on Sexton's little grounder in front of the plate. The score was now nine all. Harvard failed to score in the seventh...
