Samuel Norwood Grant Bailey of London, now an unclassified student in the Harvard Law School, has been appointed the first holder of the Joseph Hodges Choate Memorial Fellowship, which was established last spring by the Harvard Club of New York City. The fellowship is the income of a gift of $40,000, established in memory of the late Joseph Choate '52, to be given each year to a British subject, coming from the University of Cambridge to study in any department of Harvard University.
