Much credit has to go to Junell for creating a short film out of a song by a band whose music is hardly visual. The video concerns a bald, portly, middle-aged man, living a soulless corporate life in a particularly depressing Bed, Bath, Linens, Things and Beyond. Following are shots of mattresses and men with ill-fitting dress shirts; general misery ensues, backed by lead singer Britt Daniel’s restrained 4/4 emotions. Later, said fat protagonist comes home, relaxes, eats, puts on women’s clothing… what? Yes, it seems that, as Daniel croons...
...first full-length feature starring the titular team. Their initial appearances in a series of celebrated short films in the ’90s have amassed a fan base that adores their wry, unmistakably British humor. The formula is straightforward but enchanting. Wallace is the bald, big-grinned inventor with a different job in every film but two constant passions: wacky, necessarily unnecessary contraptions and a good hunk of cheese. Gromit is his resourceful mutt, who becomes a mute Watson to Wallace’s Sherlock Holmes whenever a mystery arises...

...think there's a possibility that comic book movies are getting a tiny bit better on the one hand because they're no longer made by executives, who are, you know, ninety-year-old bald tailors with cigars, going, the kids love this! But even executives and producers and people who aren't necessarily creative who are involved in it did actually grow up with these characters, so there is some measure of respect. Although we still occasionally get League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and you really can't explain that...
...During one of the many trips from Lakefront to pull families out of the waterlogged city that evening, Tarchick?s crew spots a signal. Below, Edna Fleming (her head nearly bald from cancer chemotherapy), her boyfriend Curtis and some of her relatives and friends have been camped for three days out at the top apartment of a two story house on Upper Line in uptown New Orleans. Early on, they could still be merry about the predicament, using their gas stove to deep-fry the frozen chicken as it thawed, and celebrating her niece Nakisha Washington's 29th birthday...
