Playing stellar ball, the University second baseball team defeated Pomfret 5 to 1 at Pomfret yesterday. Until the ninth inning the game was an exciting pitchers' battle between Whitney of Harvard, and Mott of Pomfret. In the last two rounds, however, the seconds piled up four runs from as many hits, a base on balls and an error.
