...eleven went through a fast game with the Freshmen, scoring a field goal and two touchdowns. The field goal and first touchdown were due to Captain Baker while Law who also did the punting, made a long run around end for the third score. The two tackles, Phillips and Ballin, proved far too strong for the Freshman line, frequently tearing through and throwing runners on defensive plays. ...show a tendency towards over-aggressiveness and fumbling which is apt to prove disastrous. Hammond and Brown will probably be the regular ends and a great deal is expected of them both in every respect save forward passing. The tackle positions will surely be held by Phillips and Ballin whereas the final choices for guards are very uncertain, Heyniger and Longstreth being the most promising.
