In Nebraska, a state ban on corporate farms has sharply slowed their growth. Elsewhere, opponents have used zoning and environmental laws to block plans for new farms. But first these voters have to find Perot's Reform Party. For now it is guaranteed a ballot spot in just four states: California, North Dakota, Utah and South Carolina.
