Twenty-eight men are now working as candidates for the annual French play in December, and are being coached daily by Professor Bernard. It has been decided to omit the curtain-raiser. "Les Fourberies de Nerine," by de Banville, and to give merely the main play, "Le Barbier de Seville," by Beau-marchais. It contains nine parts, but the provisional assignments are not yet complete.
