Director John Neville (who also chews through the role of Pastor Manders) has staged Ibsen as if the playwright were the resident bard of the Vincent Crummies Acting Company from Nicholas Nickleby: all pregnant pauses, awkward gestures, broad hints and unexpected laughs.
