In thoroughly disconcerting fashion, the article laid bare past indiscretions, using interviews with old teachers, hometown community members and “friends” of Pomey and Gomes to make clear the point that such alleged ethical lapses as the Pudding pilfer are hardly surprising coming from either of the accused. But in the effort to contextualize the accusations (which, by the way, it did very well), the article accomplished several other less desirable purposes...
