Professor' Barrett Wendell '77, of the Departments of English and Comparative Literature, was injured in an automobile accident yesterday morning. He was on his way out to College from his home in Boston, and near Central square another car came out of a side street and in trying to avoid it, the chaffeur ran into a lamp-post. Professor Wendell was thrown through the windshield, suffering cuts about the head and a general shaking up. The injuries are not serious, however, and Professor Wendell will be able to go on as usual with his classes in a few days...

Neither eleven can boast a thoroughly veteran line-up. New material is to be seen on each side, and that being the case, the break of the game will undoubtedly rest largely on how well the two teams have been coached. Captain Barrett and Shelton, last year considered by Walter Camp as All-American possibilities, are the greatest stars of the Cornell eleven, while Gillies and Cool have the reputations of linemen of much more than average ability. ...CRIMSON from the Cornell Sun states that the team has been put through an especially rigorous drill this week. Secret practices in the baseball cage have been accompanied by the fastest and fiercest scrimmages which the Red and White squad has seen this year. During the play, Captain Barrett has been averaging over 50 yards in his punting, and on one occasion got off a kick that travelled 77 yards.
