...School for Scandal," was produced Monday night before a large house. The performance was distinctly above mediocrity, but there was little acting that could be called brilliant except, perhaps, Miss Annie Clarke's Lady Teazle. Mr. Eben Plympton, as Charles Surface, was far less stilted than usual. Mr. Charles Barron's Sir Peter Teazle was interesting, but hardly a just conception of the part. ...revived at the Museum last evening. The piece is a very lively farce depending chiefly on the absurdity of the situations. Wilson, in the title role, as a magistrate who by force of circumstances becomes a fugitive from justice, is as usual irresistable. Misses Clarke and Sheridan and Messrs. Barron, Dapenport, and Booth have the most important of the remaining parts and played them very cleverly to the satisfaction of a large audience.
