Bonnie Parker (Faye Dunaway) and Clyde Barrow (Beatty) are the embodiment of this world of waitresses and gas station attendants. Clyde, the son of an itinerant farmer, is a small-time bank robber whose gun is a substitute for sexual potency. For Bonnie also, the gun is a release from the unfulfilled monotony of a West Dallas greasy-spoon. Bonnie and Clyde. Bang bang! go the guns, and the bank guard falls dead, his face oozing ketchup from every pore. Twang twang! goes the banjo, and Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker ride off in a stolen flivver for further merriment, murder and mayhem...

Barrow, who, with his British counterpart, was trapped by howling crowds on the upper floors of the U.S. consulate in the Syrian city of Aleppo. When the mobs set fire to the building, they escaped by sliding down ropes dropped from the back windows. With the help of Syrian security cops, they were able to hire taxis and, with six other Americans and Britons, made it safely to the Turkish border...

They all were boxing champions who preferred to be known by their aliases* rather than by their proper names. The resemblance ends in the general vicinity of the mouth...
