Only one hit was made outside of the eighth inning, when Harvard bunched three clean hits but lost a chance to score through G. C. Clark's attempt to make three bases on his two-base hit to right centre. The failure to hit White does not necessarily indicate a slump in batting, for the ball was hit hard a number of times when Georgetown's fast fielding prevented safe hits.
