Harvard defeated the Amherst college team on Holmes field yesterday by a score of seven to one. Harvard braced up and played a very creditable game throughout, and clearly outdid her opponents at every point. The batting was much stronger than usual, but the men showed a decided tendency to be caught napping when at the bat.
