...only it were the worst thing that a Roman Catholic priest has been caught doing. The Mexican celebrity magazine TVnotas recently published 25 paparazzi photos of the Rev. Alberto Cutié, the popular Miami Beach priest famous for his Spanish-language television and radio talk shows, cavorting amorously on a Florida beach with an attractive woman. Over a three-day period, the pictures also captured him kissing her in a bar. In one of TVnotas's "in fraganti" shots, the woman wraps her legs around Cutié; in another, Cutié has a hand down her swimsuit, fondling her rear...
Because of the scandal, the Archdiocese of Miami says Cutié, 40, is no longer the administrator of his Miami Beach parish, and it has barred him from leading Sunday Mass there. In February, French Polynesia reported a 30% drop in year-on-year arrivals - tourist numbers are now at levels last seen in 1996 - while the number of tourists cruising between the islands of Bermuda, Antigua and Barbuda in 2008 sank by almost a fifth. ...Kistner had given up hope of ever finding his great-aunt's killer. The retired police sergeant was just a rookie at the Long Beach Police Department in California when Maybelle Hudson, 80, was beaten, raped and strangled in her Inglewood garage after returning home from choir practice one day in April 1976. The last time Kistner called detectives at the Inglewood Police Department, in 2006, he was told that given the amount of time that had passed since the twice-widowed woman was murdered, the perpetrator was likely deceased or in prison...
