...Batman in the '80s and gave a nicely sepulchral tone to last year's Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. And heading the cast is a tony quartet of hunks: Brad Pitt as Achilles, Eric Bana (who somehow survived the wreck of The Hulk) as Hector, Sean Bean (Boromir in The Lord of the Rings) as Odysseus and Orlando Bloom (who was Tolkien's elf lord Legolas and Johnny Depp's young foil in Pirates of the Caribbean) as that thieving scamp Paris. And in the role of Priam, King of Troy, is Peter O'Toole, 40 years...

...sprout a beanstalk into the heavens, but if even half the claims being made in behalf of the 5,000-year-old soybean are true, it may be the closest thing on earth to a magic bean. Not only is soy a low-fat food, but it's also believed to fight cancer, lower cholesterol, relieve hot flashes, boost bone density, brighten skin and even soften beards. In fact, in many ways I feel like I have been inducted into a cult. True enough, Herbert B. Hyman, the founder and owner of the Coffee Bean, is, like any good cult leader, slowly taking all of my money. Or, more to the point, I am giving him my money, convinced that it is in my best interests. And, boy, am I giving...
