...Rogers '90. At the start Greenleaf took the lead followed by Brown, Davis and Bailey in the order named. Their relative positions remained unchanged for the first mile, which was made in 3 minutes 11/2 seconds. On the next lap Davis and Bailey passed Brown whom they quickly left behind, but they were unable to get ahead of Greenleaf. On the last lap but one. Davis and Bailey passed Greenleaf who was thus forced to take third place. On the last lap Bailey made a beautiful spurt and when he crossed the line he was leading by about thirty feet...

...Howe, '90. were the only entries. Bates had the inside track and took the lead. The men kept close together for the first lap. On the second lap Howe passed Bates and made the first half mile in 3 minutes 21 seconds, with Bates twenty feet behind him. Howe kept slowly increasing his lead and in spite of a determined spurt by Bates, Howe won by about fifty feet in 7 minutes 14 1-5 seconds...

Lord got a fine start and for fully 100 yards was in the lead, but the pace of Lee and Moen was too fast for him and he dropped behind. Lee won beating Moen by about a foot.
