...second relay for Pennsylvania and Adams for Harvard. The two remained together almost throughout the half-mile. Gill, however, by a spurt finished almost fifteen yards ahead of Adams. DuBois, who was pitted against Pennsylvania's fastest man, Klahr, was unable to diminish the lead so that when Behr started on the relay for Harvard he was fully twenty yards behind Orton of Pennsylvania.
