Subscriptions to the amount of $96.90 have been received for the purchase of the old bell, and of this only $51.10 has been paid. It is absolutely necessary that the whole $100 be raised before the examination period begins. A personal canvass of the men who have pledged themselves will have to be made unless the money is paid at once. Lafayette scored twice in the second inning on singles by Bell and Hubley, a passed ball, and Howard's hit. In Harvard's half of the inning Clark reached first on Howard's error and Wendell on a sacrifice sent him to second. He took third on Deven's out and scored on Coolidge's hit.
