He was not up to his best form, however, and in the second inning the Freshmen drew three clean hits, a triple, a double, and a single, scoring two runs. Since March 31 the order of the second crew has remained the same, except for a change on May 4, when Severance went in at 5, Smith moving to 3, and Whitney to bow. The crew has developed into one of the best second crews that ever represented the University. The men are well together and the boat moves along well at a high stroke. Throughout the season the crew has done very well in races with the University crew, and has been able to win consistently from the Freshmen...
