...half-mile flag below the Navy Yard in one stretch, a distance of about two and one-half miles. The crew showed much improvement over yesterday's work and appears to be slowly emerging from last week's decided slump. The men were using their shoulders to better advantage at the finish, with the result that the boat was faster and much more life was shown in getting the oars in at the catch. The work of the three fours was also encouraging and the Freshman eight continued to improve, showing signs of being faster than last year's crew...

Does that really suggest that they belong to the least desirable offerings of the University and that a student would do better to choose courses among those higher on the list...
