...Freshman lacrosse team defeated the Sophomores yesterday in the first of the games for the class lacrosse championship, by the score of 4 to 1. In spite of the unfavorable weather the playing on both sides was fast. The Freshmen, however, were better at every point of the game, especially in offensive work and team play. Last week the 1903 crew was rowing better than any of the other Weld crews, but yesterday the work showed a decided slump. The worst fault is rushing the slides and slumping over at the catch.
