Except at the stations the subway consists of two tubes instead of a double-tracked tunnel. The trains passing in the tube put the air in circulation in one direction only, this making the ventilation better than it is in a double-tracked tunnel, where the trains, passing in opposite directions, neutralize each other and do not aid in the ventilation...

...Freshman football team defeated Worcester Academy at Worcester Saturday by the score of 17 and 0. This is the first victory that a Freshman team has won from Worcester Academy in six years. The Harvard team was much the heavier and faster, and followed the ball better all through the game. Whitney and Calran played the best game for Worcester, the former, especially, doing well on the defensive. Whitney also got away some long punts. Chatfield did excellent work for the Freshmen. He ran 60 yards through a broken field on a kick-off to Worcester's 30-yard line...
