What seems to generate the fear and the anger that permeates most of this issue, the disclaimers notwithstanding, is the notion that there is an increasing sense of credibility to the various efforts of bi-sexual, gay, and lesbian people to define themselves and to insist upon those self-definitions in relation to others.
