...Grumble objects very seriously to the match because he wishes his daughter to marry a man with a title. He accordingly whisks her off to Europe, with her Aunt Maria and a colored maid. They are followed by Hathaway and two of his college friends, Billie Burt and Bertie Bill, disguised as wandering minstrels. Hathaway and his friends follow the Grumbles to the little Swiss inn, and succeed in getting in the hotel. They are recognized by Mr. Grumble, however, and the Grumbles leave for parts unknown...
