Song-singing Bing and Funnyfellow Fields practically make the show what it is. Fortunately--or wisely--Bing is not made to act, but merely allowed to sing and move about harmlessly. These he does to the satisfaction and enjoyment of all. The humorous element of the film is well carried on the capable shoulders of Mr. Fields, who is at his best as the blustering show-boat captain, boasting continually about his bravery.
