Meanwhile, the birthday bandwagon keeps rolling. In the next six months half a dozen new recordings of Tippett's works will be released-equivalent to his entire previous output on disks. This summer the Leicestershire, Bath and Edinburgh festivals will all feature special programs of Tippett's music.
