...jealous. I'm really, really, almost angrily jealous. Because it's not like I have particularly tortured eating habits, compared to most girls I know. I've gone through that a bit, in and around high school, and I'm endlessly happy and grateful to have left it behind. But looking back, I resent the amount of mental and emotional energy I lost to those thoughts--to planning what I was going to eat for dinner, and berating myself for what I'd eaten at the party last night, and forcing myself through ridiculous exercise routines and talking about dieting...

There are nearly 30 gay or lesbian characters in prime time (depending on how you count and categorize them). Most are post-Ellen additions, and they are no longer limited to bit roles and punch lines (though TNT dropped a stereotypically gay "character" from World Championship Wrestling after receiving complaints about gay bashing). ABC's Oh Grow Up and Wasteland feature gay leads with actual, if tentative, love lives (Ford, a lawyer who's just left his marriage, and Russell, a closeted soap actor). Poor Neve. First she was abused all last season on "Party of Five," and now she's stuck in acting limbo...

...film goes down easily until it grows a little too sticky, a little too sweet, and a little too nausea-friendly. It's pleasantly diverting, but it's also thoroughly disposable and bound to flitter out of your mind ten minutes after leaving the theater. It's a bit of a shame, because Three to Tango could have been a sweetly agreeable bit of fluff if its story wasn't so darn predictable. The film offers up a fairly tired plot, but then so did Deep Blue Sea, and I enjoyed every moment of that because it did such...
