...love bubbly, then a trip to the Champagne region of France--about an hour-plus train ride from Paris--is worth the jaunt. But be forewarned: the climate can be lousy. Across the street, the wine list at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel's Foliage is packed with beautiful champagnes and Bordeaux, but what caught my eye were hard-to-find regional French wines. I chose the Coulee de Serrant 1989, a legendary Loire white made from Chenin Blanc grapes from the town of Savennieres.
