...bless the nuns of the Order of the School Sisters of Notre Dame for having the foresight and brains (available for study) to help us aging baby boomers better understand the devastating illness of Alzheimer's [HEALTH, May 14]. Opponents of abortion don't have to make it illegal if they can make it impossible to get one. Bless those brave young medical students [SOCIETY, May 7] for having the courage to address the appalling lack of reproductive health care available to many women today and to push for abortion to be included in their medical school curriculums. These young doctors will face a lot more ugliness now that they have been featured in Time, but they should know that many reasonable people support them and are grateful for their actions. ...thing about this genial and savage film must sadden us: it is the first-produced feature screenplay by a writer named Stan Seidel, who died while the movie was in post-production. His was, obviously, a rare sensibility, unpredictable, unsentimental, unsparing and, most important, unlike anyone else's. Bless his memory. See his movie...
