If one can make himself believe that a woman can so successfully disguise herself, by simply wearing a blond wig and a ball-dress of a different color, that her husband's eye does not recognize her, then to him the scene where Madame Gaillardin flirts with her husband would be delicious; but we are all the time kept wondering that he can't see through the thin disguise, and thus we lose half...
