...quick to naively dismiss the BNP's growing popularity as simply protest-voting to punish those whom we hold responsible for the recession. The article should remind MPs that BNP voters are not necessarily neo-Nazis or even racists. When Enoch Powell gave his "Rivers of Blood" speech in 1968 he was dismissed from the shadow cabinet; how apt that in 2009, his predictions should have been realized and his policies seized upon by a far-right party. I'm afraid that immigration and multiculturalism could yet make racists of us all. Francesca Kinross, SOLIHULL, ENGLAND...

...Israel Deceptive DNA Making one person's blood and saliva appear to have been taken from someone else is so simple, Israeli scientists found, that a biology student could do it. Their findings may undercut the viability of genetic evidence in the courtroom...

The Chinese Foreign Ministry warned Burma that it should "properly handle domestic problems and maintain stability in the ... border region." The stability-obsessed Chinese government presumably isn't pleased with gun battles on its southern flank, including stray fire that claimed the life of a Chinese citizen in Yunnan...

As he's gotten older, Couture has also paid more attention to blood chemistry. He's now cutting down on his iron intake. "I had way too much iron in my system," Couture says. Of course, it's natural to wonder if a 46-year-old man can last without performance-enhancers like steroids. UFC fighters, however, do get tested, and Couture's record...
