Both races were rowed upstream from the Union Boat Club to Longwood Bridge. ...annual fall races between the graded crews of the Weld and Newell Boat Clubs will be rowed this afternoon upstream from the Union Boat Club to the Longwood Bridge, a distance of a mile and seven-eighths. Two races will be rowed, with four crews in each. Three Freshman crews are now rowing daily from the Newell boat club and are being coached by J. P. Bowditch '05 and G. Fairchild 1L. A race will be held sometime during the latter part of next week, but the crews have not as yet been graded in any way. The Cornell stroke is being used and the crews are rowing slowly on stationary seats...
