...shells and other equipment have been moved from Lynn to Newell Boat Club, and the University crews will row on the Charles River from now until they leave for Red Top early in June. The coaching launches, "John Harvard" and "Veritas," are not yet ready for use, but work has begun on fitting them out, and they will be launched soon. The "Pup," the gasoline launch, is now in running order, and Coaches Herrick and Haines will use this to direct the practice of the University crews until the others are in the water...

...track teams were on the turf by the twenty-fourth of March, the baseball team was out yesterday for the first time this year, and the track team still waits for dry ground. Likewise the crew has been delayed just about a month in its start from the Cambridge boat houses. On account of the impossible condition of the field, it is doubtful whether the football team will be able to start spring practice before the vacation. ...other University and Freshman crews were able to row from Newell Boat Club yesterday, and with the exception of a few floating cakes, the river was clear of ice. The Freshman crews will change their lockers from Newell to Weld Boat Club today, and in the future all Freshman crews will row from this club. This is a decided innovation in crew management, but it is thought that better results will be obtained by keeping all Freshman crews in Weld Boat Club, and having only the University crews use Newell...
