Harvey Weinstein and his quieter brother Bob are among the last old-fashioned film moguls, known in the business for their flash and their foresight. After building their studio, Miramax, from the ground up, they proceeded to make bold, unexpected choices - such as producing Quentin Tarantino's edgy Pulp Fiction in 1994 and bringing Hong Kong auteur Wong Kar-wai to American screens in 1996 - that have inspired packs of copycats...
Larry Craig was only the latest. Republican Bob Allen, a conservative Florida legislator, was also caught in a men's room this summer. (Predicting Craig's denials, he claimed his alleged offer to a cop of $20 and oral sex was a "big misunderstanding.") In 2006, Ted Haggard, president of the National Association of Evangelicals, admitted "sexual immorality" after a male personal trainer said on Denver radio that he had sex with Haggard. Navy made the NCAA Tournament five times while Tillman was on the staff. “I am thrilled to undertake this new challenge...

Glossy palm fronds twist gently in the temperate wind, as islanders harvest coconuts along the immaculate powder-white beaches. Leathery sea turtles bob lazily off shore and the light cacophony of birdsong accents the ambient sound of wind and waves...
...base, leaving the party even more vulnerable in the 2008 elections. In putting Democrats in control of Congress for the first time since 1994, voters last November cited corruption scandals that had led to the resignation of former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, California Rep. Duke Cuningham and Rep. Bob Ney of Ohio, coupled with a sexual harassment scandal involving underage male congressional pages that led to the abrupt resignation of Florida Rep. Mark Foley...
