The Rumba is a "symphonic overture" based on Cuban themes, for full orchestra plus bongo (tom-tom), maracas (rattle), gourd and sticks. These specimens are of the Eastern race which is confined to the highland forest areas of Kenya Colony. They have more massive horns than the West African race and the hide has a richer and brighter rufus color. The most characteristic things about these animals are the white cross stripes on the hide and the smooth, open, spiral form of the horns...
