...study done outside of the Harvard community warns of the danger of the monster class. Wayne C. Booth, professor emeritus of English and rhetoric at the University of Chicago, who was on the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching study commission that examined Harvard last year, claims immense classes are often the source of much of the failings of any research institution.
