...Food and Drug Administration proposed, and the Borden Foods Co. agreed last week that all stocks of the company's powdered-milk product, Starlac, were to be recalled from stores. Reason: FDA microbiologists had found that some samples of Starlac contained salmonella bacteria, which can cause severe diarrheal disease.
