Though not all men have signed up in the blue books, about 50 entries are expected before the preliminaries are run off next week. The date for the first bout has not been definitely settled as it is impossible to judge how the entries will be distributed. If the several classes are nearly equally filled, however, it is probable that the opening contests will be staged on Wednesday, March 15.
