...present football season will break all records in gate receipts at Yale. The receipts will amount to more than $230,000. This is more than $65,000 in excess of any previous year and is due to the building of the Bowl with its great seating capacity. Yale this fall will get the benefit of both the Bowl and the Harvard Stadium. Last Saturday 55,750 saw the Princeton game at New Haven. ...Haven, Conn., November 10, 1915.--The Yale football team continued its secret practice in the Bowl this afternoon. The University team had two 10-minute scrimmages, one with the freshmen and one with the Ineligibles. The work against the latter was chiefly defensive, while against the freshmen the university took the offensive and Bingham and Van Nostrand each scored a touchdown. Following the example of the University, Yale will display the letters Y-A-L-R in white on a field of blue handkerchiefs on the Yale side of the Bowl at the Princeton game next Saturday. Blue handkerchiefs will be sold with the tickets, while the white handkerchiefs will be tied to the seats of those who are to wear them at the game...
