When, last week, Madison Square Garden announced that Skater Henie in person would appear in Manhattan this month in a skating spectacle called The Holly-wood Ice Revue, her admirers stampeded the Garden box office, took away $10.000 worth of tickets during the first day of the advance sale. ...Interest in the Cotton Bowl game in Dallas between Rice and the University of Colorado lay in seeing whether Rice could box up Rhodes Scholar-Select Byron ("Whizzer") White. But in the firct ten minutes of play White smartly intercepted a pass for one touchdown, successfully completed a pass for another, and kicked a pair of extra points, before his line petered out. With Christmas in the offing and the box office in mind, Twentieth Century-Fox decided that a gay musical would be just the thing, and thereupon collected everyone they could lay their hands on and turned them all over to Sidney Lanfield, who happens to be the second highest paid director in the business.
