...Seriously though, my boyfriend's brother just got his fianc?e a sapphire and I think that's fine. If I wanted an emerald, I'm sure that would be an option. For me, though, it needs to be something that says "I'm engaged." If the sapphire or the emerald covers it, well then OK. I just personally want a diamond because I like the way they look - and I don't think there's anything wrong with that as long as you get one from a supplier who is in compliance with the Kimberley Process.
