Kurt Angle, a 1996 Olympic gold medalist (Who says professional wrestlers have no talent?), and his partner face the Dudley Boyz, Buh Buh Ray and D-von, next. The Boyz, using many complex moves that target their opponent's groin, beat Angle and partner, demonstrating (almost unnecessarily) the superiority of pro-wrestling over that other two-points-for-a-takedown crap. Gleeful, I tell Christina that Kurt Angle was an Olympic champion. She's doubtful, and certainly not impressed. ...Easy's PJs. But this time, Master P and his gold-tanked army can't claim responsibility. Tha Block is Hot is the latest in a torrent of albums from newcomers Cash Money Records, the same crew that dropped Guerrila Warfare, the much-lauded Hot Boyz album, earlier this year. But this album might have come too soon after the diminutive Wayne, himself a Hot Boy, ran taunting jabs on that blowup wax. Other than the chantworthy tag lines of tracks like "Fuck Tha World" and "Watcha Wanna Do," there is little in the lyrics department worthy of the rewind...

...What there is to like in "Do You Think About Me" and "Candy (Make It Right)" is pretty clearly lifted from Janet Jackson and Boyz II Men. Even the album's most promising song, "Everybody Wants Her," suffers from a weak beat. Your best bet is to steer clear of Introducing and hope Fredo sticks to the commercials. Sometimes pretty boys are meant to be seen and not heard...
