Bradford and Cutter: Of 113 Harvard students who had rowed in intercollegiate races up to 1870, 10 were killed in the war, and 2 died of diseases contracted in the service. Of the remaining 101, 1 died of Bright's disease, 5 of consumption, 1 of neuralgia, 1 by suicide, 2 by accident, and 1 from an unknown cause.
