The Republican committee have kindly offered an escort of a brass band and two companies of cadets. Other considerations aside, the practice to be obtained would more than repay the trouble, while the accompanying fun would serve further to tip the scale in favor of this scheme. If the drum corps is not the proficient enough to turn out en masse, a picked corm might be chosen from among those whose former experience with the sticks enables them to serve without further practice...
